Prosperity

Although we often link prosperity and abundance with the state of our finances, they really encompass so much more.  Think of Mother Theresa, for example.  Although she did not have any money, her life was filled with abundance because she lived in accordance with her highest values and purpose.

The first step to creating prosperity and abundance is to have a clear vision of what they would look like to you.  Your definition may include money…but there are lots of other aspects to a successful life. ..health, family, spirituality, etc.  Really think about what matters to you, then finish the following sentence:

I will feel successful when …

How much money do you want to make?  If you’ve always wanted to be a millionaire, that is fine.  But don’t just make up a number here.  Think about what you will use the money for, and try to quantify how much money it would take to achieve your goals.  For example, you may have enough money for day-to-day expenses, but not enough to buy your dream house or car.  You may long to travel, or take up an expensive hobby.  Whatever it is, write it down and put a $ value next to it.  Then finish the following sentence:

I would like to make  xxxx$ by xxxx(date) in order to do ……

Finally, close your eyes for a few minutes and visualize what your ideal day would look like.  I’m not talking about a day of vacation, but your every day reality.  Where would you live? What time would you wake up? Would you prefer to commute or work at home?  What would you actually be doing during the hours you were working?  Who else would be in the picture? How much time would you spend working? What other activities would be included in your daily life? The more detail you put into this vision, the better.  So, state it in the present tense, as if you are already living your dream, and start with the following sentence:

I wake up at …..
